IWA-Konferenz “Cities of the Future” – Mühlheim an der Ruhr

From April 28 to April 30, the IWA-conference „Cities of the future” took place in Mühlheim an der Ruhr. The conference provided an opportunity to present and discuss latest developments in the area of water supply and treatment with an international audience consisting of experts from various fields.

Dr. Susanne Bieker und Johanna Tolksdorf (TU Darmstadt, Institute IWAR, Chair of Wastewater Technology and Water Reuse) presented the SEMIZENTRAL approach. Dr. Susanne Bieker’s presentation focused on the adaptability and urban resilience of the SEMIZENTRAL approach. The main focus of Johanna Tolksdorf’s presentation was the implementation of the world’s first semi-centralized Resource Recovery Center.
